Review: The Life and Death of Pyramiden 2024-2054
Availiable from the BoingBoing vaults from 09/09/2081
This documentary uses personal accounts and historical evidence to recreate various stages in the timeline of the settlement of Pyramiden on the Norwegian Island of Svalbard from its foundation in 2024 to its destruction in 2054. The documentary is set up as a series of freely explorable reconstructions of the settlement at five different periods with reactive accounts from settlers and visitors to Pyramiden. There are also observable reconstructions of key scenes, reconstructed from memories and artefacts from contemporary sources.

Resolute Today
The city of Resolute, Nunavut has become to be seen as a textbook example of the “New North,” more well known than the Antarctic “New South” by virtue of availiable land. Cities like Hammerfest, Fury and Hecla and Winterfell either experienced massive growth or sprung up from nothing in the early to mid twenty first century as temperatures warmed and commercial activity throughout the north.
At the beginning of the 21st century Resolute was little more than a hamlet that was home to native Inuit populations and

First Day of Sixth Month
The heatwave across the Eastern provinces continues. It continues to be hotter than a dragons tonsils and annoyingly crowded across the town. Something about the summer sun suddenly reminds people that nature exists again and outside is more than just what you travel through to get to your destination.
I'm writing this in the Goblins head, a pub relaxingly devoid of tourists by virtue of a lack of charm combined with high beer prices forcing away patrons looking to get pissed as the hand of the market does as its supposed too. However, I'm not looking to get drunk. I am however already on my third pint. Today is a s

DISTANT SHOT- TOWN can be seen in distance. Wooden walls around a few buildings. Two Small figures (OWYN AND KATIE) are walking down path with farms on either side. Similarly small figures are tending to fields by hand. If you want, a few cottages can be around the farmlands. Maybe ruined houses in amongst the farms, to suggest this used to be the outskirts of a town. The road is a modern one but cracked and overgrown.

In the beginning the old mother took all her dreams and thoughts and set them on fire and in the smoke from the fire the universe was created, spreading like air across the void. She looked upon her creation and knew that the universe was too much for her alone. Like us, her dreams were far more than her mind could ever contemplate.
So she created for herself , out of her dreams, four children. Two sons, and two daughters, to keep her company and help her govern the universe.
The eldest son was tall and strong, unmoving and patient. He stood by his mother as all rushed about them. He was given the earth, the mountains and trees who, like hi

You didn't leave the house today
Which is a shame, it was sunny
You didn't leave the house today
So you didn't bump into the old man with the dog
Which is shame, but only in hindsight
So you didn't bump into the man with the dog
And that man didn't not make it to the post office before it shut
Which isn't a shame, not for him.
So he made it to the post office before it shut
So he used the last of their envelopes
And they had to order some more
Which isn't a shame, it's fairly inconsequential
So he used the last of their envelopes
And they had to order some more
And the postmaster had to go and buy some more

Lois Lane knocked on the wooden door. A clear resounding voice on the other side replied "Come in!" and somehow this made Lois more nervous than she already was. She opened the door and entered the reception room of Clark Kent's Metropolis apartment. The decor was quite sparse with only a few items such as the pennant of his high school football team and a few framed photos. Clark himself stood and turned to face her, cutting out a lot of light from the glass window behind him. Through the window Lois could see STAR labs, and in the distance the Lexcorp building. He smiled softly "Ms Lane, good afternoon, please come in," she

(continued from page one) upon the defeat of the Appelaxian threat the group of heroes gathered to speak to the assembled press. The team is composed of the heroes Green Lantern, The Flash, Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Martian Manhunter, all of whom had previously only been active individually. It is believed their choice of "Justice League of America," is an homage to the Justice Society, the famous World War II era superhero team which also contained heroes called Green Lantern and the Flash.

I hope whoever finds this diary can appreciate it, learn from it and perhaps gain some understanding of those last days.
It begins in August 2052 in London, well; these specific events begin in 2052. The problems at hand began long before this, long before even you were born. I could rant and write about how it began, and how things unwound. The causes should be obvious, even by your time. Climate change, though feared, isn't the only factor, but it is the Lynch pin. All the other problems were magnified by it. The population Boom, peak Oil, the resource rush, all of it. Making up the fingers around the neck of our dying mother earth.

Stephen Bragg's flat in Barking is in one of the last few state built housing blocks. We sit and share tea in plain white mugs. His room is decorated mostly with photos of family members. Here and there however are photos and mementos from what we came to discuss. He picks up one and shoes it to me; it's one I've definitely seen before as have many British people. A much younger Stephen Bragg, stood 20 years ago at the Northern edge of London Bridge, a Union flag in his hand and a grin on his face. The photo was taken by a BBC photogra

One of the other, uninjured people in e group raised his goggles and fixed him with a contemptuous look.
